After the Lions’ triumph against the Seahawks, Dan Campbell shares his singular regret.

Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell expressed one regret following the team’s impressive performance on Monday night.

During his postgame press conference, he learned that quarterback Jared Goff had completed an outstanding 18 out of 18 pass attempts.

Had he been aware of this during the game, Campbell said he likely would have chosen Goff for the game ball.

“I just gave the game ball to someone else, so I feel terrible about it,” Campbell stated.

“I knew he had a great game, but I didn’t realize he was perfect. I could feel how well he played.

”In addition to Goff’s flawless passing, the Lions also showcased a strong rushing attack, accumulating 116 yards and scoring three touchdowns—two from Jahmyr Gibbs and one from David Montgomery.

Detroit’s 42 points marked their highest scoring total of the season, improving their record to 3-1 after four games.

Despite the oversight with the game ball, there was much to celebrate in the win, so Campbell likely won’t dwell too long on not recognizing Goff’s historic achievement in the moment.

The team’s overall performance was a significant highlight, further solidifying their strong start to the season.
