Historic NFL Statistics Achieved by Detroit’s Jared Goff and Amon-Ra St. Brown

In their 50th game together, Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown made NFL history during a 42-29 victory over the Seattle Seahawks at Ford Field.

Notably, St. Brown threw a touchdown pass to Goff, and Goff completed a perfect 18-of-18 passes for 292 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions, setting a new NFL record for the most passing yards and attempts without an incompletion.

For his outstanding performance, he was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week.

He and St. Brown also linked up six times for 45 yards and a touchdown during the game.

According to the team, this puts them ninth in NFL history for the most receptions (321) by a quarterback and wide receiver in their first 50 games together.

They are just one reception behind Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, and 42 receptions behind Tom Brady and Wes Welker and Justin Herbert and Keenan Allen, both of whom have 363.

Lions fans can look forward to seeing Goff and St. Brown strengthen their chemistry for years, as St. Brown signed a four-year, $120 million contract extension in April, while Goff received a four-year, $212 million extension in May.

As of Week 5, Goff ranks fifth in passing yards (1,015) and has the fourth-best completion percentage (71%) among quarterbacks with at least 100 attempts.

St. Brown has recorded 27 catches for 252 yards and two touchdowns this season, with his standout performance coming in a Week 2 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he caught 11 of 18 targets for 119 yards.

The Lions have a bye in Week 5 and will face the Dallas Cowboys on the road on October 13.
