This win marked the end of a six-game losing streak against the Seahawks, as Offensive Coordinator Ben Johnson effectively utilized Detroit’s array of offensive talent against a depleted Seattle defense at Ford Field.
Star safety Kerby Joseph made a significant impact, recording nine tackles, five of which were solo, along with a pass breakup and a tackle for loss, helping Detroit triumph over one of their toughest NFC rivals.

On Friday, during the bye week, Joseph took a moment to express appreciation for his teammates in a heartfelt post on X.
“Fr tho I can’t do nothing without my teammates,” he wrote, accompanied by a light blue heart and fingers crossed emojis.
A former third-round pick from the University of Illinois, Joseph has tallied 12 solo tackles, three interceptions, and four pass breakups this season.
With new cornerbacks Terrion Arnold and Carlton Davis III alongside him, the Lions boast a defensive backfield filled with playmakers who can often compensate for any shortcomings with game-changing plays.
The Lions’ next game is scheduled for October 13, where they will face Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys in a challenging road matchup in Dallas.
