A vicious attack during a Dallas Cowboys game “turned upside down” the life of the fan, his wife, and their daughter. Wenceslao Gonzalez, a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys, received tickets to the team’s September 22 game against the Baltimore Ravens as a birthday present from his wife Lindsey and daughter Emma.
But, they said they saw a man yelling at a young woman who was “sobbing” as they were getting ready to leave the team’s $1 billion AT&T Stadium. Wenceslao intervened to try to defuse the situation and ended up getting into a fight with the man, who has subsequently been identified as 32-year-old Rafael Ramirez.

Before hitting Lindsey for attempting to break up the two guys, Ramirez is said to have punched Wenceslao in the face. Ramirez hit Lindsey in the skull, knocking her unconscious with a single stroke. Then, as she was lying on the ground, he is reported to have kicked her in the face. “I know he was in my husband’s face and he had already hit my husband in the face,” Lindsey said to CBS, adding, “I was trying to separate them.” And that’s all I remember. The next memory I have is waking up in a hospital.
According to Lindsey, she broke 12 bones in her face, breaking her nose, left cheek, and left eye. Her jaw was also broken.
A photo of Lindsey lying in the hospital reveals the serious injuries she sustained, including swelling that makes it difficult for her right eye to open. Surgery was performed on September 24. Both of them have been unable to work since the incident because Wenceslao also sustained a fractured foot in it.
On September 23, Ramirez was released from Tarrant County Jail after being taken into custody and charged with two charges of assault inflicting bodily injury, according to local sources. “I never want to see anybody suffer harm or wish bad things to happen to them,” Lindsey declared. ”
But I do want a fair and just punishment for what he did, and I do want him to pay for it. Everything in our world has changed drastically. After this, our lives might never be the same.
The family ‘never want to go back’ to the Cowboys stadium, Lindsey further said. Emma, the daughter, also chastised the police for their inaction. “That wasn’t more police presence, there wasn’t security around to do the job that they were supposed to be doing,” the woman stated.
