The last thing the Cowboys need is another injury added to their extensive list on defense. They are currently facing injuries to LB Micah Parsons (ankle), LB Nick Vigil (foot), DE Marshawn Kneeland (knee), CB DaRon Bland (foot), and DE DeMarcus Lawrence (foot), all with varying degrees of severity and missed time.

They will encounter a tough Detroit Lions offense this Sunday, making the addition of another name to that injury list this week quite discouraging.

Eric Kendricks added to Cowboys’ injury woes

The list keeps growing, and linebacker Eric Kendricks is the latest addition. He missed Wednesday’s practice due to two injuries: one to his shoulder and another to his calf.

Kendricks played a crucial role in the Cowboys’ victory over the Steelers last week, leading the team with 10 tackles (four solo). He currently leads the team with 52 tackles (24 solo), along with two sacks, one interception, and one forced fumble. For comparison, DeMarvion Overshown is second on the team with 38 tackles. If Kendricks is unable to play, it would be a significant loss.

There are two more practices before the Cowboys take on the Lions this Sunday, so Kendricks will be a player to watch. The Lions’ rushing attack is led by Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery, both of whom rank in the Top 20 for rushing, meaning Dallas will need all the assistance they can get to contain them.

The Cowboys are set to face the Detroit Lions on Sunday, October 13, with a kickoff time of 4:25 p.m. ET at AT&T Stadium. AS USA will provide live text coverage and commentary of the game, delivered by yours truly.
