Lions DE Aidan Hutchinson is reported to have a broken tibia.

Hutchinson sustained what appears to be a season-ending leg injury in the third quarter of the Lions’ 47-9 victory over the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington, Texas, on Sunday.

After his team’s win, Lions coach Dan Campbell confirmed Hutchinson, 24, has a tibia injury and remained in Dallas while the team flew back to Detroit.

Fox Sports later reported Sunday that the injury was a fracture, with TSN stating he had surgery shortly after exiting the game.

Hutchinson, a top defensive player in the league, got hurt while sacking Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott during the Lions’ first defensive drive of the half.

Players from both teams gathered around Hutchinson as medical staff treated him and placed him on a cart. After several commercial breaks, the Fox broadcast did not replay the injury.

Hutchinson, the second overall pick in the 2022 draft, had 6.5 sacks entering the game.

He posted 11.5 sacks for Detroit last season and entered the day with 27.5 in his career. –Field Level Media.
