In a spirited locker room celebration after the Detroit Lions’ 31-29 win over the undefeated Minnesota Vikings, Coach Dan Campbell awarded four game balls to standout players.
With both teams now at 5-1, tied for first in the NFC North, the recipients were kicker Jake Bates, running back Jahmyr Gibbs, safety Brian Branch, and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown.
“To say I’m proud of you would be a huge understatement,” Campbell expressed to the team. “That’s how we come in here. Everything we discussed at halftime, the way we needed to finish—man, composure, right? Communication…patience, patience. You guys didn’t flinch. I love this freaking team. I love the coaches, the players, everything about it, man.”
