Second-year quarterback returns from shoulder injury, but doubts about his readiness persist
Levis’ Return After Injury
Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis is set to start against the Los Angeles Chargers after a three-week hiatus due to a shoulder injury. Coach Brian Callahan confirmed Levis is ready to resume his role after showing significant improvement in practice. “He had a really good week of practice… He looks ready to go,” Callahan said, expressing optimism about Levis’ recovery.
The Road to Recovery
Levis injured his shoulder against Miami on Sept. 30, and despite returning for a game on Oct. 13, he admitted that the injury contributed to his performance, including a costly interception. Although he has displayed resilience, questions about his ability to perform at his pre-injury level remain.
“I just want to make sure that I can go out there and make all the throws the way that I could before I got hurt,” Levis explained. His ongoing recovery is focused on testing his shoulder’s limits to ensure it is fully healed.
Injury Concerns and Team Status
While Levis appears to be on track, other key Titans players, including cornerback L’Jarius Sneed, are dealing with injuries. Sneed will miss his fourth consecutive game due to a quadriceps issue, which initially appeared to be a bruise but was later diagnosed as a muscle strain. Callahan reassured that most players on the injury report, including Dillon Radunz and Tyjae Spears, are likely to play pending Sunday workouts.
As the Titans continue to evaluate Levis as their long-term solution at quarterback, his performance against the Chargers will be pivotal. Will he overcome the lingering doubts and prove he is the answer for Tennessee’s quarterback future? Only time will tell.
