After an electrifying 26-23 victory over the Houston Texans, Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff shared a heartfelt moment with head coach Dan Campbell.
Despite a challenging game in which Goff threw five interceptions, the Lions mounted a remarkable second-half comeback, clinched by a last-second field goal.
Reflecting on the exchange with Campbell, Goff spoke on 97.1 The Ticket on Tuesday, saying, “I just told him this is why our team is unique, because we can overcome things like that. He agreed.”
The Lions’ determination was evident as they clawed back from a 16-point halftime deficit. Goff’s turnovers could have easily halted the team’s momentum, but his poise and leadership helped keep the Lions in the fight.
Goff also expressed gratitude for his teammates’ support: “I’m thankful for those guys standing by me,” he added.
