Christen Harper, Wife of Lions QB Jared Goff, Opens Up About Starting a Family

Christen Harper, wife of Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff, was a recent guest on the “The Morning After with Kelly Stafford & Frank” podcast, where she discussed her charitable work, including her involvement with Forgotten Harvest, a non-profit that provides fresh, nutritious food to families in need.

The organization delivers an impressive 144,000 pounds of surplus food daily to local charities. Harper expressed her admiration for the group’s efforts, noting the significant impact they have on people’s lives.

She mentioned that she tries to visit Forgotten Harvest nearly every week to support their mission.

During the conversation, Harper also touched on her and Goff’s plans to start a family.

She emphasized how fortunate she feels to have the time to focus on these activities, acknowledging that many people don’t have the same privilege.

“I don’t want people to feel bad for not being able to do the same,” she shared, recognizing the balance between her charitable involvement and her eventual desire to have children.

She also expressed awareness that once they have kids, her time may be more limited, and she may need to contribute in other ways.

On November 17, Harper posted on Instagram to share her outfit for the Detroit Lions game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

“GRWM for game day in Detroit!!! 🏈🖤” she captioned the post, linking to a retailer where her followers could find her look.

The post was marked as an advertisement, indicating a collaboration with the brand.

The game turned out to be a major win for the Lions, who triumphed over the Jaguars with a dominant 52-6 score, possibly inspired by Harper’s presence.

Harper has been a frequent attendee at Goff’s home games since he joined the Lions, and she spoke on the podcast about the dedication of Detroit’s fans.

Reflecting on the early days of their move to Michigan, she recalled being amazed by the support the team received, even during tough seasons.

She described how, during their first year in Detroit, the stadium was nearly full, despite the team’s struggles.

“That’s amazing,” she said, expressing her respect for fans who continue to show up even when the outcome isn’t guaranteed.

Harper, who is originally from California, also shared her newfound love for Michigan’s fall season.

She admitted that she didn’t truly know what fall was until moving to Michigan, and now, she eagerly anticipates the changing of the leaves and visiting local apple orchards.
