Christen Harper Goff Shares Plans for Family, Commitment to Charity
Harper appeared on “The Morning After with Kelly Stafford & Frank” podcast on September 6, discussing her charity work, including her involvement with Forgotten Harvest, a non-profit that delivers “144,000 pounds of surplus food per day to local charities five days a week, providing families in need with fresh and nutritious food free of charge,” according to their website.
“I feel like the impact they’re making is incredible, reaching so many lives. I try to go as often as I can, almost weekly,” she said.
Harper Goff also spoke about her future plans to start a family with Goff.
“I want to acknowledge that I’m lucky to have the time to do this, which many people don’t,” she said. “I don’t want anyone to feel bad for not having this opportunity… Eventually, I’ll have kids running around, and I might not have time for this. Then, I’ll likely support the cause in other ways. But I feel fortunate, and I don’t want anyone to feel bad about their own circumstances.”
Christen Harper Goff Rocks Game Day Look at Lions vs. Jags
On Sunday, November 17, Harper posted a picture on Instagram showing off her game day outfit ahead of Goff’s Detroit Lions game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
“GRWM for game day in Detroit!!! 🏈🖤” she captioned the post, linking to details about her outfit. The post was labeled an ad, indicating a brand collaboration.
Perhaps her presence was a lucky charm, as the Lions dominated the Jaguars, winning 52-6.
Harper has attended nearly every home game since Goff became the Lions’ quarterback. She spoke on the podcast about the strong loyalty of Detroit Lions fans.
“The draft was insane,” she said. “When we first moved here, we were shocked to see the stadium nearly sold out even though we weren’t doing well in our first season… It was amazing. I don’t think many places have fans that dedicated, still showing up even when they know the team might lose.”
She also shared how much she’s enjoying Michigan’s fall season.
“I didn’t really know what fall was before moving here,” she admitted, as she’s originally from California. “But now, I’m genuinely excited for the leaves to change and to visit an apple orchard.”
