The Detroit Lions have the chance to secure a playoff spot this season as early as the end of Week 13.

After starting the season with an impressive 10 wins in their first 11 games, head coach Dan Campbell’s team is positioned to vie for both the NFC North title and potentially the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

This Thursday, the Lions will face the Chicago Bears in their traditional Thanksgiving Day matchup.

For Detroit to clinch a playoff berth this week, a win against the Bears at Ford Field is essential.

According to Sports Illustrated, the Lions hold a 37-45-2 record on Thanksgiving Day.

Their overall performance on the holiday has been affected by a nine-game losing streak from 2004 to 2012 and a current drought dating back to 2016.

In comparison, the Dallas Cowboys, who also play on Thanksgiving, have a 32-23-1 record in their annual home game.
