Tucker Kraft Makes Surprising Remark Ahead of Packers’ Showdown with Lions

The Green Bay Packers, now 9-3, held a practice on Sunday to prepare for their Thursday night clash against the 11-1 Detroit Lions. The Lions are looking to move closer to clinching the NFC North title this season.

Second-year tight end Tucker Kraft has been a key contributor to the Packers’ offense, standing out as both a blocker and a receiver.

Packers Tight End Tucker Kraft Makes Bold Statement Ahead of Lions Game

After Sunday’s practice, several Packers players spoke with the media, including Tucker Kraft. When asked about Lions safety Kerby Joseph, Kraft told Ryan Wood:

“He’s taken out some of my brothers, and I think about that. So if I get the chance to get my hands on him, you know, it’s football.”

Thursday’s game could heat up if Kraft and Joseph end up facing off. Earlier this season, Joseph’s teammate Brian Branch was ejected in a game against the Packers.

Kraft’s Performance This Season

Kraft has 36 catches for 480 yards and six touchdowns, averaging 13.3 yards per reception on 49 targets. With Luke Musgrave sidelined by injury, Kraft has stepped up as the Packers’ top tight end and is on track to exceed 600 receiving yards in his second NFL season.

In the previous matchup with Detroit, Kraft registered four receptions for 34 yards on six targets but didn’t score. This time, he may see a larger role, potentially impacting both the passing and running games as he aims to leave a lasting impression against the Lions.
