Amon-Ra St. Brown Responds to Packers’ Xavier McKinney’s Dismissive Comments with Confidence

The Detroit Lions, who dominated the NFC North Division last season, are aiming to maintain their strong form in 2024 with an 11-1 record and aspirations of reaching the Super Bowl.

Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has been a standout performer for the Lions this season, playing a key role in the offense led by coach Dan Campbell and offensive coordinator Ben Johnson.

However, there’s one member of the Green Bay Packers who isn’t feeling any concern ahead of their Thursday matchup: safety Xavier McKinney.

In a recent interview, McKinney downplayed St. Brown’s impact, saying, “I ain’t worried about him. We’re not worried about him.”

St. Brown, who has posted 76 catches for 820 yards and multiple touchdowns this season, responded to McKinney’s comments during a conversation on the “St. Brown Podcast” with his brother, Equanimeous—also a former Packer.

“I’m actually happy if they aren’t concerned about me. It’ll make it even sweeter when I make plays,” St. Brown said with enthusiasm. “I’m excited for the challenge of playing him.”

When his brother asked if there was anyone on the Packers he was concerned about, St. Brown replied, “Just like he’s not worried, I’m not worried either. It’s going to be a fun game.”

St. Brown ended the conversation by urging fans to watch the matchup, saying, “Make sure you tune in.”

The confident Lions receiver is eager to prove himself on the field in their upcoming showdown.
