The Lions face a tough challenge against the Packers, as they’ll be without four important linemen, DJ Reader included.
Beating the Packers and solidifying their control of the NFC North just became even more challenging.
The Detroit Lions will be without key defensive linemen Josh Paschal (knee), Levi Onwuzurike (hamstring), DJ Reader (shoulder), and offensive tackle Taylor Decker (knee) in Thursday’s game against Green Bay. None of these four players practiced this week, so their absences were anticipated, though it still doesn’t make it any easier to accept.
Decker has missed two games this season, with veteran Dan Skipper stepping in as his replacement each time. As for the defensive line, Detroit is expected to rely on healthy players like Brodric Martin, Za’Darius Smith, Alim McNeill, Al-Quadin Muhammad, and Pat O’Connor.
Myles Adams and Jonah Williams are also poised to make their debuts for the Lions. Both were added to Detroit’s active roster on Saturday after joining from the practice squads of the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams, respectively. Adams has played in three games this season, while Williams has appeared in six.
