Dan Campbell Calls Josh Allen the Ultimate Player Ahead of Sunday’s Showdown.

The Detroit Lions have not defeated the Buffalo Bills since 2006, but they have a strong chance to end that streak this Sunday at Ford Field in Detroit.

The Lions head into Sunday’s game with a 12-1 record, riding an 11-game winning streak, while the Bills recently lost to the Rams after seven consecutive victories.

On Wednesday, Lions head coach Dan Campbell spoke highly of a player who is expected to be a focal point this weekend: Bills MVP candidate Josh Allen.

“He’s big, he’s strong, he’s fast, he’s explosive and competitive,” Campbell said, according to Lions reporter Nolan Bianchi.

“He’s got something special inside him… He’s the ultimate competitor… and that’s why his teammates play so hard for him,” Campbell added.

The Bills rank 11th in passing offense this season, and Allen ranks second on the team in rushing, with 416 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Allen’s running ability presents a new challenge for the Lions’ banged-up defense, especially with reports suggesting potential returns of key defenders like Alim McNeill, Josh Paschal, Levi Onwuzurike, DJ Reader, and others.

“It’s been tough. I’m not a rocket scientist or anything, just a football coach,” said Lions linebackers coach Kelvin Sheppard about managing so many injuries in Detroit.
