Dan Campbell delivers a hilarious response when asked about Alex Anzalone’s availability!

Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell is known for his straightforwardness, but he really showed his humor when discussing linebacker Alex Anzalone’s availability for Sunday night’s important game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Dan Campbell Jokes About Alex Anzalone During an interview with Jim Costa and Jon Jansen on 97.1 The Ticket, Campbell was asked about the obstacles Anzalone would need to overcome to be ready for the game. His response was classic Campbell.

“He’s got to be able to do a handstand,” Campbell joked. “He’s got to be able to do a handstand press-up. And then really a version of a jumping jack on his hands.”

Campbell’s humorous and exaggerated answer provided a light-hearted moment amidst the serious preparations for Week 18. But in true Campbell fashion, his answer wasn’t far from the truth.

The tough linebacker, recovering from a forearm injury, might have a shot at playing on Sunday, but Campbell and the Lions will be cautious and not rush things.

Bottom Line Alex Anzalone, a key player on the Lions’ defense before his injury, may need more than just a handstand and a jumping jack to return for the season’s most important game. But with Campbell’s approach, perhaps he’s on to something!

Regardless of the handstand jokes, the Lions will be hoping Anzalone can return to help them clinch the NFC North and the No. 1 seed.
