The Detroit Lions are gearing up for a divisional-round matchup against the Washington Commanders on Saturday night, with a spot in the NFC Championship on the line.
While the game has everyone’s attention, Lions quarterback Jared Goff and his wife, Christen, are focusing on another cause close to their hearts. Before Goff was traded to Detroit, he played for the Los Angeles Rams.
Now, he and Christen are giving back to their former community by partnering with Crain Homes to support those affected by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.
In an Instagram post, Crain Homes announced the collaboration with the Goff family, emphasizing the importance of unity and resilience during challenging times.
“Defend the Dens: Together for LA,” the message began, explaining their mission to bring healing and hope to those impacted by the loss of their homes.
As part of the effort, fans were invited to bid on two VIP tickets to the Lions game, offering front-row seats in Section FLS, VIP parking, and access to the MGM Grand Detroit Tunnel Club. The package also included early entry, all-inclusive dining, and drinks, with proceeds going to California Strong.
Crain Homes expressed pride in teaming up with the Goff family to support the initiative, urging fans to seize the opportunity to contribute while enjoying an unforgettable game-day experience.
Fans quickly praised the couple for their generosity.
One commenter wrote, “What an amazing way to support California.” Another said, “So humble. Thank you.” A third shared, “As if I couldn’t love you guys more. So honored to know you!”
The Goffs’ heartfelt efforts demonstrate their commitment to making a positive impact, both in Detroit and in their former home of Los Angeles.
