CM Punk has made it clear that nothing will stand in his way of winning the Royal Rumble, even if it means eliminating Hulk Hogan along the way.
After missing WrestleMania 40 due to injury, Punk is determined to headline the biggest event of the year by becoming the last man standing in the Royal Rumble. With previous winners like John Cena, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Drew McIntyre confirmed for the match, the 2025 Rumble is already shaping up to be one of the most competitive in recent years.
Recognizing the tough challenge ahead, Punk took aim at his opponents during an interview segment on the January 20th Raw:
“John Cena, I can’t imagine him throwing me over the top rope on February 1st. Roman Reigns needed my help to settle family issues at WarGames, and at the Royal Rumble, there are no allies, it’s every man for himself. I put Drew McIntyre in his place, don’t even ask about Sami Zayn, he’s not on my level.”
Punk then took a shot at Hulk Hogan, saying if the Hall of Famer entered the match, he would have no problem tossing him out:
“You put Hulk Hogan in the Royal Rumble, I’ll throw his dusty ass over the top rope and end Hulkamania once and for all.”
Given Hogan’s current unpopularity with fans, Punk’s remark received the loudest cheer of the segment.
