Michael Irvin’s Bold Take: Cowboys Eyeing Brian Schottenheimer as Next Head Coach!

As of January 22, 2025, there are no reports indicating that the Dallas Cowboys are considering Brian Schottenheimer for the head coach position.

However, former Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin has been vocal about his views on the team’s coaching situation.

Irvin has expressed that he is not in favor of retaining current head coach Mike McCarthy, citing a need for more discipline within the team. He stated, “I just think it’s time to go in another direction… I’m not on that bandwagon.”

Additionally, Irvin has shown support for his former teammate, Deion Sanders, as a potential candidate for the Cowboys’ head coaching role. He mentioned his intention to discuss this possibility with team owner Jerry Jones, saying, “I’m gonna be in Jerry’s ear about [Deion Sanders].”

It’s important to note that while Irvin has been outspoken about his preferences, there is no official information linking Brian Schottenheimer to the Cowboys’ head coaching position at this time.
