After the Detroit Lions’ playoff loss, owner Sheila Hamp shared an encouraging message, reflecting on the season and looking ahead to the future.
Dear Lions Loyal Member,
This isn’t the letter I hoped to write this year.
The season didn’t end the way we wanted or expected. However, we accomplished a lot, setting records and making progress toward our ultimate goal.
Your unwavering support has never faltered, and for that, I am truly grateful. The energy from fans in Detroit, across Michigan, and beyond is unmatched.
Ford Field consistently provides a true home-field advantage, and your presence even made away games feel like home. Your dedication inspires and fuels us to aim higher.
I’m proud of what we achieved this season. From the players and coaches to the personnel and staff, everyone embraced the “One Pride” mentality, winning and losing together.
I know this weekend was tough, and watching other teams pursue the path we envisioned in the coming weeks won’t be easy.
However, we’re more motivated than ever. The team that brought us success this year won’t remain the same—change is inevitable—but we’re confident in our direction and unified in our approach.
My goal has always been to establish sustained success for this franchise. Over the past two seasons, we’ve taken significant steps.
Winning back-to-back NFC North Division Championships and hosting playoff games reflect the progress we’ve made. These accomplishments lay the foundation for the future we’re building.
Thank you for your continued loyalty, for wearing Honolulu Blue, and for embodying the spirit of One Pride.
Your support drives us forward and strengthens our resolve to achieve greater things.
As the offseason begins, we’re in a strong position to retain key players and make strategic additions to the team.
With your support, I’m confident the Detroit Lions will continue on the path to sustained success. Thank you for being a vital part of our journey.
