Police have apprehended a Redford man for his alleged role in trafficking two women in the Metro Detroit region.
Detroit is set to bring in Kacy Rodgers, with more staff changes potentially on the horizon.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers gained recognition in 2024 for their offensive firepower. Baker Mayfield’s impressive 41 touchdown passes and Bucky Irving’s breakout performance led the team to a division title, boosting offensive coordinator Liam Coen’s profile as a potential head coach. On the other hand, Todd Bowles’ defense faced challenges throughout the season.
Despite those struggles, Bowles, along with run game coordinator Kacy Rodgers and pass game coordinator Larry Foote, remains highly respected in the NFL. With the Detroit Lions losing defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn to the New York Jets head coaching job, head coach Dan Campbell is turning to Bowles’ staff for reinforcements.
According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Lions are likely to appoint Rodgers as their new defensive line coach, following Terrell Williams’ appointment as the New England Patriots’ defensive coordinator. Jordan Schultz reports that Foote is expected to interview for Detroit’s vacant defensive coordinator position.
Given Todd Bowles’ influence, both Rodgers and Foote played a significant role in shaping the Buccaneers’ defensive unit, comparable to any other assistants. However, with their contracts expiring and the organization seeking a new direction, Bowles faces critical decisions regarding staff hires this offseason.

The individual is currently in jail with a bond set at almost $1 million.
PONTIAC, Mich. (FOX 2) – A man from Redford has been arrested and is now in custody, facing multiple charges related to two human trafficking cases.
Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard stated that 61-year-old Damon Napier was arrested for trafficking two women in the metro Detroit area, with both incidents occurring in Oakland and Macomb Counties.
Authorities revealed that Napier has a lengthy criminal history in both California and Michigan, including charges for kidnapping and drug offenses. According to Bouchard, drugs often play a significant role in human trafficking, as they are used to manipulate and control victims.
This case stemmed from a 2023 investigation into a missing person in Madison Heights, which uncovered Napier’s involvement as a drug dealer who had gained the victim’s trust.
Police have identified several victims but believe there may be more individuals affected.
