Amon-Ra St. Brown shares hilarious moment he discovered his coach was leaving the Lions!

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown recently shared a humorous exchange he had with former offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, who has taken the head coaching position with the Chicago Bears.

On the “St. Brown Brothers” podcast, Amon-Ra recounted their lighthearted banter following Johnson’s departure.

St. Brown humorously warned Johnson, “For two times a year, Ben, we’re going to [expletive] you up.” Johnson replied in kind, saying, “I’m going to [expletive] you up.” The two laughed, acknowledging the friendly rivalry that will now exist between them as division opponents.

Despite the jesting, St. Brown expressed deep respect and admiration for Johnson, describing him as “one of the hardest working coaches” he’s encountered. He acknowledged Johnson’s significant contributions to the Lions’ high-scoring offense and understood his decision to pursue a head coaching role.

The upcoming seasons promise intriguing matchups between the Lions and the Bears, with St. Brown and Johnson’s relationship adding an extra layer of excitement to the NFC North rivalry.
