Beyoncé’s stunned expression at the 2025 Grammys quickly became a viral meme.
The 43-year-old music icon was left speechless when Taylor Swift announced that “Cowboy Carter” had won Best Country Album at the ceremony on Sunday night.
Beyoncé had just arrived at the event moments before her name was announced, which caught her by surprise.
Dressed in a gold Schiaparelli Haute Couture paisley gown with a touch of Western style, the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer froze in shock and scanned the room in disbelief.
Fans immediately seized the moment, using it to share their own relatable experiences of surprise.
“Me every single day of 2025 so far,” one user wrote, while another commented, “Me when something good actually happens in 2025.”
“Me when I try to act shocked,” a third user humorously added alongside the clip.
Others connected the moment to Swift, saying, “Me when I remember Taylor Swift could drop Reputation or Debut TV at any time,” referencing the highly anticipated “Taylor’s Version” albums.
“Me when Taylor picked up her phone at NOLA N2 and called Sabrina,” another user wrote, recalling when Swift invited Sabrina Carpenter to join her onstage during an Eras Tour concert in New Orleans.
Despite the initial shock, the “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” singer quickly composed herself as she took the stage at Crypto.com Arena.
“I’d like to thank all the amazing country artists who accepted this album. We worked so hard on it,” she said.
“Sometimes, genre can be a way to hold us back as artists, and I just want to encourage everyone to pursue their passions and stay persistent.”
Beyoncé, the most awarded Grammy artist of all time with 34 career wins, ended her speech by thanking her “beautiful” family, collaborators, God, and fans.
“This album wouldn’t have been possible without you… I’m still in shock, so thank you so much for this honor,” she said.
Before stepping onto the red carpet, the “Lemonade” singer had already won one award earlier in the day, taking home Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “II Most Wanted” with Miley Cyrus.
“Cowboy Carter” was also nominated for Album of the Year.
