LeBron James Sends Powerful Statement on Luka Doncic After Lakers Victory

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers triumphed over the Los Angeles Clippers 122-97 in the final game of their six-game road trip. During the trip, one of the largest trades in NBA history was completed, transferring Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks and bringing Luka Doncic to Los Angeles. After the Lakers’ victory over the Clippers, James shared his opinion on the trade for Doncic. James described Doncic as a “big-time player” and expressed his excitement to join forces with him on the Lakers. “Listen, Luka [Doncic] is a big-time player,” James said, according to ClutchPoints. “He’s 25, hasn’t even reached his peak yet, and he’s already done some incredible things in our league… I’m excited to have him, and LA is thrilled to have him.” Heading into the game against the Clippers, James was averaging 24.0 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 9.1 assists per game. In the win over the Clippers, James posted 26 points, eight rebounds, nine assists, and three steals.

With Doncic now on the roster, the Lakers gain one of the NBA’s most potent scorers and playmakers. At just 25, Doncic has already taken the Mavericks to the NBA Finals and earned five All-Star selections. The Lakers, with a 29-19 record, are currently the No. 5 team in the Western Conference, riding a three-game winning streak.
