Caleb Martin Injury Update Following Mavericks-76ers Trade
The Mavericks are set to receive a future second-round pick.
A trade between the Philadelphia 76ers and Dallas Mavericks involving Caleb Martin has been revised due to Martin’s hip injury.
As reported by NBA insider Marc Stein, the 76ers are sending a 2030 second-round pick to the Mavericks along with Martin. The trade was finalized but adjusted after concerns arose regarding Martin’s right hip sprain, which caused him to miss 12 consecutive games before the deal and will further delay his debut with Dallas.
Stein noted: “Caleb Martin has been sidelined due to a recent hip injury and was said to be close to returning for the Sixers. However, after discussions between both teams and the league office, Philadelphia agreed to send an extra second-round pick to Dallas.”
Mavericks Secure Additional Draft Pick in Caleb Martin Trade
The initial trade agreement involved sending Martin to Dallas, while Quentin Grimes and the Sixers’ 2025 second-round pick, which had been traded away in 2021, went to Philadelphia. Now, Dallas has secured another future draft pick.
