Charles Barkley Stirs Lakers Fans with Critical Remarks During Warriors Game
The Los Angeles Lakers extended their winning streak to four games, securing a 120-112 win over the Golden State Warriors on Thursday. However, Charles Barkley’s remarks during TNT’s Inside the NBA halftime show caused a stir among Lakers supporters.
With the Lakers leading 69-49 at halftime, a fan questioned Barkley about when he would apologize for his previous criticisms of the team. Barkley brushed off the inquiry and responded firmly.
“They’re really dominating this Golden State Warriors team. This powerhouse they have. Come on, man. Shut up. Watch the game and shut the h*ll up,” Barkley stated.
Barkley’s comments continued to provoke backlash, as he reiterated his position on the Lakers.
“I’m not going to overhype them beating the Golden State Warriors. The Lakers aren’t contenders. They are a mediocre team,” Barkley said.
These remarks triggered an immediate outcry from Lakers fans, who flooded social media with their discontent. Darius Soriano, co-host of the Laker Film Room podcast, expressed his frustration on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “Charles Barkley is bad at his job.”
