Jared Goff and His Wife Make a Big Announcement

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff and his wife Christen Harper have shared some exciting personal news ahead of the Super Bowl.

Even though the Detroit Lions are in the offseason, big news continues to surface. Lions quarterback Jared Goff has kicked off the offseason with significant personal news.

On Thursday, February 6, Goff and his wife, model Christen Harper, appeared on the red carpet at the NFL Honors event. Fans quickly noticed Harper gently cradling her belly, sparking speculation that she might be pregnant. So, is she?

NFL insider Jeff Darlington confirmed the good news during the event, taking to social media to announce that Harper is indeed expecting. “Congratulations to Christen and Jared Goff, who will welcome their first baby this offseason!”

Darlington wrote on X. “Christen and Jared are here on the red carpet for NFL Honors, where Jared is nominated for MVP and Man of the Year. An exciting time for two amazing people who will make wonderful parents.”

Goff, attending the NFL Honors as an MVP finalist for the first time, was also one of 32 nominees for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award.

Although the Lions lost to the Washington Commanders in their first playoff game, Goff had an impressive season, finishing with 4,629 passing yards and a career-high 37 touchdowns. The Lions concluded the season with a 15-2 record.

Back in September, Harper appeared on “The Morning After with Kelly Stafford & Frank” podcast, where she discussed her charity involvement with Forgotten Harvest, a nonprofit organization that delivers 144,000 pounds of surplus food daily to local charities, helping families in need.

Harper also hinted at the possibility of starting a family in the near future. “I feel like I also need to preface this with, I am privileged to have the time to do this. So many people don’t,” she explained.

“I’m eventually going to have kids running around, and I might not have time for this. But I don’t want people to feel bad, as I’m lucky to have the time to do it.”

Harper went on to say, “The reach that Forgotten Harvest has is incredible, touching so many lives. I try to be involved with them as much as possible and visit almost weekly.”

As the Lions begin their offseason, the 2024-25 NFL season will wrap up with Super Bowl 2025 on Sunday, February 9, featuring the Kansas City Chiefs against the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans.

Lions fans had hoped to see their team at the big game, but there’s always next year—fingers crossed.
