TV host Kay McGrath has shared the heartbreaking news that her fiancé and “soulmate” passed away unexpectedly during a trip to India.

The 68-year-old McGrath was guiding a tour in India when her fiancé, Richard Moore, tragically died of a heart attack.

“My beloved fiancé and soulmate Richard has passed away following a sudden and completely unexpected heart attack in Agra, India,” she posted on Instagram. Local medical staff did everything they could to help him.

“Just the day before, we had an unforgettable experience at the Taj Mahal – a place meant to be ‘heaven on earth,’ which brings me some comfort,” she wrote.

“I’ll always cherish that moment and all the beautiful memories we made together throughout our many years together.”

McGrath went on to say that Richard was deeply cherished by family and friends.

“He leaves a vast emptiness in our hearts. A kind, intelligent, generous, hilariously funny, and truly good man – we all miss you so dearly, darling.”
