Luka Doncic Posts Four-Word Response to Kyrie Irving After NBA All-Star Selection

Luka Doncic Shares Four-Word Message to Kyrie Irving After NBA Announcement

Although Luka Doncic is now part of the Los Angeles Lakers, his thoughts still remain with his former Dallas Mavericks teammates.

After his Lakers debut on Monday against the Utah Jazz, the 25-year-old Doncic sent a warm message to Kyrie Irving, congratulating the Mavs guard for being selected as Anthony Davis’ replacement on Team Shaq for the upcoming 2025 NBA All-Star Game.

“Well deserved mi hermano!” Doncic wrote in his Instagram Stories post.

Doncic and Irving were teammates with the Mavericks for parts of three seasons. In their first (and only) full season together in Dallas, they led the Mavericks to the Western Conference title but fell short in the 2024 NBA Finals, losing to Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics.

Both the Lakers and Mavericks played on Monday. While Doncic and LA cruised to a 132-113 win over the Jazz, Irving and the Mavs were defeated by the Sacramento Kings, 129-128.

Doncic finished with 14 points, five rebounds, and four assists in the Jazz game. Meanwhile, Irving put up 30 points, nine boards, and seven assists in the Sacramento contest.

The two former teammates could share the court once again on February 25 when the Mavericks visit the Lakers at Crypto.com Arena In los Angeles.
