Report: Bobby Slowik Hired by Dolphins as Senior Passing Game Coordinator

Bobby Slowik is embarking on a new chapter in Miami. According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Media, Slowik has accepted a position as the Dolphins’ senior passing game coordinator. He will work again alongside Mike McDaniel, whom he previously collaborated with in San Francisco.

At 37, Slowik interviewed for multiple head coaching roles last year after C.J. Stroud earned Offensive Rookie of the Year honors.

However, the Texans dismissed him after Stroud’s performance dipped in his second season, and the team ranked 19th in points and 22nd in yards, a decline from their 13th and 12th place finishes in 2023.

Slowik first joined San Francisco during Kyle Shanahan’s inaugural season, taking on the role of defensive quality control coach before transitioning to offensive assistant in 2019. He was promoted to offensive passing game coordinator in 2022 before following DeMeco Ryans to Houston in 2023.
