Amon-Ra St. Brown Sends Direct Message to Eagles After Super Bowl Triumph

With a powerful offense, they finished with a 15-2 record and secured the top playoff seed in the conference. However, their status as the NFC’s best quickly faded after losing at home to the Commanders in their opening playoff game.

That crown now belongs to the Philadelphia Eagles, who solidified their dominance with convincing wins in the NFC Championship Game and Super Bowl. Lions star Amon-Ra St. Brown is eager for Detroit to reclaim the top spot in the NFC.

On the February 12 episode of the “St. Brown Podcast,” St. Brown expressed his desire for the Lions to face the Eagles in the NFL’s 2025 season opener to prove how different things could be with a healthy lineup. “You’d see how that (expletive) works with our defense at full strength,” St. Brown said.

Given the Eagles’ 2025 schedule, the Lions seem like an ideal opponent for the season’s first game. Philadelphia will host three other playoff teams next season, but none offer the same intrigue as a rematch against Detroit, their first meeting since Week 1 of 2022.

One of the Lions’ top players wants the showdown. The Eagles will likely embrace the challenge once they hear St. Brown’s comments. Fans would certainly enjoy an early NFC Championship preview to kick off the season.
