Micah Parsons Urges Cowboys to Be Bold in Roster Decisions
Micah Parsons, never one to hold back, has once again voiced his thoughts on the direction of the Dallas Cowboys. Following a challenging season marred by injury and missed opportunities, Parsons remains determined to help the team turn things around. Despite their struggles, the Cowboys managed to finish on a somewhat positive note, aided by a lighter schedule. However, the setbacks of 2024 solidified Parsons’ role as a key voice for the team’s future.
On Thursday, Parsons made it clear how he believes the Cowboys should approach the offseason. Speaking with Patrik Walker of DallasCowboys.com, he emphasized the need for action:
“I don’t want to just sit back and watch other teams build while we stay stagnant. We need to be aggressive and bring in players who will make an immediate impact.”
As proof, he pointed to the Philadelphia Eagles, fresh off their dominant Super Bowl LIX win, and how they strengthened their roster with key acquisitions like Saquon Barkley and Zack Baun.
“There’s a new trend in the NFL. Not everyone needs a max contract. There are high-quality players available on short-term deals, and we’ve seen that work this season.”
With Parsons himself due for a contract extension, he hinted at a willingness to take a smaller payday if it means securing another star player, potentially someone of Myles Garrett’s caliber.
For the Cowboys, the message is clear—standing still isn’t an option. Parsons is calling for aggressive moves to ensure the team remains competitive in the seasons to come.
