Amon-Ra St. Brown, the wide receiver for the Detroit Lions, was clearly thrilled with Kendrick Lamar’s performance at the Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday. Lamar performed several of his newly released tracks, including a diss toward rapper Drake, which sparked much debate and conversation.
St. Brown and the Detroit Lions finished the 2024 NFL season at the top of the NFC North with 15 wins and just two losses. They reached the NFL Divisional Round against the Washington Commanders but fell short, losing 45-31.
Drafted as the 112th pick in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, St. Brown has been with the Detroit Lions since. During the 2024 season, he recorded 115 receptions for 1,263 yards and scored 12 touchdowns for the team.
In other news, St. Brown mentioned that he hopes to face the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2025 season opener. With the Lions’ defense being one of the best in the league, he believes they could provide an exciting challenge for the defending Super Bowl champions.
While the Detroit Lions relied on their strong defense to lead them to the Super Bowl, they unfortunately suffered several injuries, including to Aiden Hutchinson, Malcolm Rodriguez, and Carlton Davis.
The Detroit Lions did not play the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2024 season. Despite early difficulties, the Eagles eventually triumphed over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, winning 40-22.
