Lakers NBA

LeBron James and Luka Doncic are both listed as probable for the Lakers’ upcoming game against the Nuggets, with James dealing with left foot soreness and Doncic nursing a left calf injury.

The Los Angeles Lakers have confirmed the final statuses of Luka Doncic and LeBron James for their game against the Denver Nuggets.

When the Lakers made a huge trade to bring in superstar Luka Doncic, fans immediately imagined the incredible pairing of him with LeBron James. However, the Lakers are currently just 1-2 with both James and Doncic on the floor, including losses to the Utah Jazz and Charlotte Hornets.

Doncic is a proven superstar, while James is often regarded as the greatest player to ever play the game. This duo should not be struggling, and the rest of the league is likely anxious for when they finally click. On Saturday night, the Lakers face the Denver Nuggets, as Nikola Jokic and his team hope that their breakout game doesn’t come at Ball Arena.

There had been some uncertainty about whether James and Doncic would play on Saturday night in Denver, but the Lakers have confirmed that both will suit up. Despite being listed on the injury report for injury management, both players are available for the game.

Since joining the Lakers, Doncic is averaging 14.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 5.3 assists in just 26.7 minutes per game. He had been under a strict minutes restriction during his first two games with LA, but that restriction has been lifted after the All-Star break.

James is averaging 24.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 8.9 assists this season, coming off a 40-point performance against the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday. Saturday’s game in Denver should be an exciting one with both superstar playing.
