NFL Combine agenda for Arizona football players in Indianapolis this week.

Kicker Tyler Loop, offensive lineman Jonah Savaiinaea, and wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan are representing Arizona at the 2025 NFL Combine. McMillan and Savaiinaea are the only players from Arizona projected to be drafted in 2025. Loop is one of just four kickers invited to the Combine.

Defensive linemen, kickers, and linebackers will have their on-field workouts on Thursday. It’s unclear which events Loop will participate in, but the NFL website notes there was a “kicking workout” on Wednesday, separate from the Thursday drills for DL, Ks, and LBs.

With defensive backs and tight ends scheduled for on-field workouts on Friday, Arizona won’t have a representative on the field until Saturday, when running backs, quarterbacks, and wide receivers (as listed by the NFL) will participate.

The NFL Combine holds particular importance for McMillan, whose draft stock has reportedly been declining. ESPN NFL Draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. via Nick Kendall on X mentioned, “the league doesn’t view Arizona Wide Receiver Tetairoa McMillan as a top 10 player.”

Savaiinaea and other offensive linemen will have their workouts on Sunday, followed by the bench press on Monday. Jordan Morgan, selected in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers, was the first offensive lineman from Arizona chosen since Eben Britton, who went to Jacksonville in 2009.

McMillan and Savaiinaea are the only players from Arizona projected to be drafted this year. Despite McMillan’s drop in stock, it’s still very likely he’ll be drafted in the first round, while Savaiinaea is expected to be a second-round pick. It’s been 25 years since two Arizona players weren’t selected in the first two rounds of the NFL Draft, the last being Trung Canidate and Dennis Northcutt in 2000.

Canidate was the 31st overall pick by the St. Louis Rams, and Northcutt went one pick later to the Cleveland Browns as the first pick of the second round. Arizona needs to keep developing players like McMillan and Savaiinaea to achieve more success in the future.
