Investigation underway in Oklahoma after beer can thrown at Kentucky players

Oklahoma investigating beer can thrown at Kentucky players

The Kentucky Wildcats traveled to Norman and defeated the Oklahoma Sooners in an intense and thrilling game. The contest was a nail-biter, ultimately decided in the closing moments when Otega Oweh stepped up and played a pivotal role in securing the win for the Cats.

In the midst of an exhilarating finish, a beer can was thrown at Kentucky’s players, an incident that remains under investigation. It seems the Sooners are continuing their probe into the event and seeking assistance in resolving the matter.

No resolution has been reached yet, but it casts a shadow over what was an exciting matchup between two SEC teams. Below is the statement Oklahoma issued on Thursday.

The Cats, now 19-9 on the season, were led by Oweh, who scored 28 points against his former team. As the clear MVP, Oweh delivered an impressive performance, with many of his former teammates also on the court.

That said, the victory was a collective team effort, with seven Cats players scoring at least seven points. Overall, it was a thrilling game that saw just a two-point difference at halftime.

As for the incident, hopefully, Oklahoma will resolve the issue sooner rather than later.
