Matthew Stafford will continue with the Rams after signing a new deal.

Matthew Stafford will not be changing teams this offseason. The Rams quarterback is staying in Los Angeles after agreeing to a new contract, according to ESPN on Friday.

This deal puts an end to early offseason rumors suggesting that the former Lions quarterback might be on the move after reportedly expressing dissatisfaction with his current contract. Stafford still had two years and $58 million left on his deal.

Last week, the Rams had given him permission to speak with other teams about potential trades.

Stafford, who turned 37 earlier this month, proved in 2024 that he can still perform at a high level, completing 65.8% of his passes for 3,762 yards with 20 touchdowns and eight interceptions while guiding the Rams to the playoffs.

That marked Stafford’s fourth season in Los Angeles, following his first 12 years with the Lions.
