Lakers injury report vs. Clippers features LeBron James and Luka Doncic

On Sunday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers will face off against their city rivals, the Los Angeles Clippers, in a rematch of Friday night’s game where the Lakers narrowly secured the win. This matchup marks the fourth and final regular-season game between the two teams, with the Lakers leading the series 2-1.

Both teams have a lengthy injury report heading into the game. Here’s a breakdown of which players are available, sidelined, or questionable for the highly anticipated matchup.

Lakers injury update vs Clippers

The Lakers might be without Luka Doncic (left calf injury management) and LeBron James (left foot injury management), as both are listed as questionable. Rui Hachimura will miss the game due to left patellar tendinopathy, while Austin Reaves is doubtful with a right calf strain. Additionally, Jordan Goodwin is doubtful with a right ankle sprain.

Maxi Kleber is still waiting to make his Lakers debut as he recovers from right foot surgery.

Clippers injury report vs Lakers

The Clippers have fewer injury concerns compared to the Lakers. Derrick Jones Jr. will miss the game with a right groin strain, while Norman Powell is listed as probable with left patellar tendinopathy after sitting out Friday’s matchup.

The Lakers have distanced themselves from many Western Conference teams, currently sitting third in the standings as the regular season enters its final stretch.

This season marks the Lakers’ best regular-season performance since their championship-winning campaign in 2019-20, with Luka Doncic settling in nicely after a brief adjustment period with his new team.

On the other hand, the Clippers have exceeded expectations despite losing Paul George in the offseason, and they could potentially secure a top-five seed in the Western Conference by the end of the season.

Tip-off between the Lakers and Clippers is set for 9:30 PM ET at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
