2026 Top 50 Prospect Anthony Felesi Discusses BYU Visit

2026 Top 50 Wing Anthony Felesi Discusses BYU Visit

BYU dominated West Virginia 77-56 on Saturday night in Provo, with some of the top high school prospects in attendance. While AJ Dybantsa, the #1 overall recruit and BYU signee, received attention for his presence in the ROC during the second half, he was accompanied by his Utah Prep teammate, Anthony Felesi.

Felesi, a 4-star recruit in the 2026 class, has been pursued by BYU’s coaching staff since their arrival last spring. Standing at 6-foot-5, the wing is ranked #35 in the 2026 class by On3 and #45 by 247 Sports’ composite rankings. A local talent, Felesi previously attended Orem High School before transferring to Utah Prep. He recently visited Houston, which extended an offer, and holds offers from Creighton, Mississippi State, Utah, Cal, Louisville, UNLV, Utah State, Washington State, and others.

I caught up with Felesi to talk about his experience at the BYU-West Virginia game and his recruitment by BYU. Besides AJ, Felesi also plays alongside BYU signee Xavion Staton at Utah Prep.

VTF: How was your unofficial visit to BYU this weekend? How did you enjoy being at the game?

Anthony: It was awesome! The fan support is incredible, and the ROC student section is wild! I loved the atmosphere and the arena.

VTF: How would you describe your relationship with Coach Kevin Young and BYU’s staff? What is their pitch to you?

Anthony: My relationship with Coach Kevin Young and the staff has been really supportive throughout my high school years. The vision they have for me to contribute to their program and progress to the next level really aligns with my goals.

VTF: Are AJ Dybantsa and Xavion Staton constantly recruiting you for BYU?

Anthony: Haha… YES, NONSTOP!

VTF: How does BYU compare to the other schools you’re considering?

Anthony: BYU is definitely high on my list. I love the NBA development staff and how Coach Young is building the program for both now and the future.

VTF: Do you plan to take an official visit to BYU?

Anthony: Yes, I will be taking an official visit.
