Britain’s Wardley to Challenge Pulev for Heavyweight Boxing Title

Regular Heavyweight Champion Kubrat Pulev must defend his title against Britain’s Fabio Wardley, following a mandate from the World Boxing Association. Both fighters must reach an agreement on the match by April 4.

The 30-year-old Wardley holds an unbeaten record of 18 wins, 0 losses, and 1 draw, with 17 victories by knockout.

Pulev, who will turn 44 in May, has a professional record of 32 wins (with 14 knockouts) and three losses. He claimed the World Boxing Association’s Heavyweight Title in Sofia on December 7, 2024, by defeating Germany’s Mahmoud Charr.

According to BoxRec.com, Pulev is ranked 16th among heavyweights, while Wardley currently holds the 9th spot.
