Ithaca, NY (WBNG) — Cornell secures a 5-1 victory over Yale in the first round of the ECAC Hockey Championship.

Ben Robertson gave the Big Red an early lead, scoring just two minutes into the opening period.

Yale managed its only goal late in the second period before Cornell dominated the third, netting four more goals.

Tim Rego was the standout for Cornell, scoring twice in the game.

The Big Red will now face Colgate in a best-of-three quarterfinal series starting Friday, Mar. 14, with the puck dropping at 7 p.m.
