It may sound extreme to claim that this week’s SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament in Nashville will be more challenging than next week’s NCAA Tournament, but it’s not far off.

Seven teams from the SEC rank in the top 20 of Ken Pomeroy’s computer rankings. Regular-season champion Auburn is ranked No. 2, followed by Florida at No. 4, Tennessee at No. 5, Alabama at No. 6, Kentucky at No. 11, Texas A&M at No. 17, and Missouri at No. 20.
