March 11, 2025 | Hockey
BOSTON – Army West Point hockey defenseman Mac Gadowsky, a sophomore, has been selected for the All-Atlantic Hockey First Team, as announced by the league today. Additionally, freshman forward Jack Ivey has secured a spot on the AHA All-Rookie Team.
Gadowsky leads all defensemen nationwide in goals (15) and points (41), helping the Black Knights achieve an 11-3-2 record in their last 16 games. He has accumulated 31 points in Army’s most recent 18 games and holds a plus-14 rating in 26 regular-season conference matchups. His 41 points set a new program record in the AHA era (2003-present) and rank as the fourth-highest single-season point total by a defenseman in Atlantic Hockey America history. His 15 goals from the blue line are the third most in AHA history. Gadowsky is the only player in the nation with over 35 points and 35 blocked shots and was honored as AHA Defenseman of the Month in both January and February.
Ivey ranks second among conference rookies with 10 goals and 23 points. With a plus-five rating this season, he stands third on the team in points, playing a key role in Army’s run to the AHA semifinals. He registered six multi-point performances and had a five-game goal streak from Jan. 10-24, during which Army went undefeated. Ivey was named Atlantic Hockey America Rookie of the Month for February after leading the team with four goals and nine points. He excelled in the second half of the season, contributing 22 points in Army’s final 25 regular-season games.
