Cubs Reportedly Interested in Signing Former Beloved Cardinals Pitcher

On the same day the St. Louis Cardinals made their first free-agent signing of the offseason, the Chicago Cubs are reportedly in talks with one of their former starting pitchers.

As per Bob Nightengale of USA Today, the Cubs and free-agent pitcher Lance Lynn are discussing a potential one-year contract to bring the ex-Cardinals starter to Chicago’s north side. Lynn, who rejoined the Cardinals last season after a long absence, has been searching for a new team this offseason and is also open to a bullpen role.
