Injured Luka Doncic won’t play in Denver on Friday, further depleting the Lakers’ roster.
DENVER (AP) – Luka Doncic will sit out the Denver Nuggets game on Friday night, joining LeBron James on the Los Angeles Lakers’ growing list of sidelined players.
The Lakers decided to keep their star guard out for the second game of a back-to-back due to managing a left calf injury and a right ankle sprain.
Doncic delivered his best-scoring performance as a Laker on Thursday, putting up 45 points and collecting 11 rebounds in a 126-106 defeat against Milwaukee.
James is set to miss his third consecutive game due to a left groin strain and has already traveled back to Los Angeles, along with Rui Hachimura (left patellar tendinopathy) and Jaxson Hayes (bruised right knee).
Additionally, Dorian Finney-Smith and Gabe Vincent are both considered doubtful as they recover from left ankle inujries.
