Lakers’ Luka Doncic Draws Attention with Gesture Toward Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Brother

The Los Angeles Lakers fell short against the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday, but Luka Doncic gave it his all. With LeBron James sidelined, the Lakers’ star tried to carry the team. In the process, Doncic had a lighthearted moment involving Giannis Antetokounmpo’s brother, Thanasis.

Despite the Lakers’ 126-106 loss, Doncic delivered an impressive 45 points and 11 rebounds. TNT analyst Brian Anderson observed how Doncic kept looking for Thanasis after every basket. Thanasis, who previously played for the Bucks and Knicks, was seated courtside. During the second quarter, cameras captured Doncic sinking a three-pointer before staring at him.

Thanasis responded with a few words and a smile. The entertaining exchange between the two was caught on video. “Luka, every time he scores, he immediately looks to the sideline,” Anderson remarked during TNT’s broadcast. “You know who he’s looking for? Thanasis.” Reggie Miller confirmed Doncic was engaging with Thanasis, laughing as he pointed it out.

However, Doncic’s efforts weren’t enough to stop the Bucks. Giannis Antetokounmpo was just one assist shy of a triple-double, finishing with 24 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists.

Fans reacted to the amusing moment on social media. “Luka’s got no chill,” one wrote. Another commented, “Still down 10 and talking trash.” Someone else joked, “No way Thanasis is in the game this early.” Another fan questioned, “Why does every Thanasis clip go

viral?”
