LeBron James’ Recovery Status Updated by Lakers

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James appears to be steadily recovering from his recent groin injury.

James sustained the injury during the Lakers’ game against the Boston Celtics on March 8. As a result, he has missed the last two matchups, including Thursday’s contest against the Milwaukee Bucks.

TNT’s Jared Greenberg provided a significant update on James’ recovery timeline. Before the Lakers faced the Bucks, he reported that an evaluation and update on the superstar’s condition are expected next week.

“Expect an evaluation and update on LeBron early next week,” Greenberg stated.

Playing their second consecutive game without James, the Lakers suffered a tough 126-106 loss to the Bucks on Thursday night. Apart from Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves, the Lakers struggled to generate offensive support, allowing Milwaukee to seize control in the second half. The Bucks dominated the third quarter 31-19 and never relinquished the lead.

Doncic put up an impressive 45 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, and two steals, shooting 14-of-27 from the field and 7-of-13 from deep. Reaves added 28 points and eight rebounds, while Dalton Knecht contributed 10 points, five rebounds, and three assists off the bench.

Despite the loss, Los Angeles holds a 40-24 record and remains in fourth place in the Western Conference standings. They are tied with the Houston Rockets and trail the Denver Nuggets and Memphis Grizzlies by just one game.

Following their third consecutive defeat, the Lakers aim to bounce back in their next road game. They will take on the Nuggets on March 14
