The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has revealed its 2025 All-District Teams, and Duke University has maintained its strong presence. Freshmen Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel, and Khaman Maluach, along with head coach Jon Scheyer, have all received recognition in the South Atlantic division, highlighting the Blue Devils’ continued dominance in college basketball.

Flagg and Knueppel Lead South Atlantic First Team

Cooper Flagg and Kon Knueppel earned spots on the South Atlantic First Team following stellar freshman seasons. Flagg has been a statistical standout, leading Duke in points (18.9), rebounds (7.5), assists (4.1), blocks (1.3), and steals (1.5). His exceptional performance ranks him among the best players in ACC history, positioning him as a strong contender for national accolades.

Knueppel, a key figure in Duke’s 23rd ACC Tournament title, further solidified his status with an MVP-caliber performance. Averaging 21.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.7 assists during the tournament, Knueppel has also garnered All-ACC Second Team and ACC All-Freshman honors. His all-around game ranks him as the fourth-best player in the nation, according to EvanMiya’s ratings.

Maluach Named to the Second Team

Freshman Khaman Maluach also received All-District honors, securing a place on the South Atlantic Second Team. His efficiency has been impressive, ranking third nationally in offensive rating (141.2) on KenPom. His shooting accuracy is evident with a .706 two-point percentage, and his rebounding ability is highlighted by an ACC-leading 19.8% offensive rebounding rate. Additionally, his defensive presence is showcased by his fourth-highest block rate (6.0) in the conference.

Scheyer Named South Atlantic Coach of the Year

Jon Scheyer has earned recognition as the South Atlantic District Coach of the Year. In his third season, Scheyer has already secured two ACC Tournament titles, an unprecedented achievement in conference history. With an 85-13 record across three seasons, he has broken Bill Guthridge’s record for the most wins by an ACC coach in their first three years. Under his leadership, Duke leads the nation in scoring margin (20.8) and winning percentage (.912), while ranking first in the ACC in both scoring offense (82.7) and defense (61.9).

Duke’s Impressive NCAA Tournament Run

Entering the 2025 NCAA Tournament with a 31-3 record, Duke has captured both the ACC regular season and tournament titles for the first time since 2006. As a No. 1 seed in the East Region, the Blue Devils will play the winner of a First Four game between American and Mount St. Mary’s on Friday at 2:50 p.m. ET in Raleigh, N.C.

With a legacy of All-District selections that spans 29 consecutive seasons, Duke continues to assert itself as a powerhouse in college basketball. This year’s NABC honors are a testament to the program’s enduring excellence.
