The reason became clear last December, on Christmas Eve, when Reardon took to Instagram to update fans on his health. He disclosed in the caption that he had been battling tonsil cancer and was now in recovery.

Posting two photos, Reardon wrote, “Last night was my first night out after my recovery from tonsil cancer. It has been a long road between these two pictures, and the difference comes from the love and support I received from the people in my life.”

He went on to express gratitude to his family, who stood by him during his difficult journey, providing care and encouragement. He also thanked the medical professionals who treated him and contributed to his recovery. “Kindness is an underappreciated quality in people. We should never undervalue it. Celebrate it and share it as much as possible. It is free and life-changing,” Reardon added.
